Help Prevent Foreclosures in Your Community

Public Meetings Set for Discussion of Community Engagement Report
December 15, 2006 - The NRP Policy Board and the Minneapolis City Council have called for public discussion of the Community Engagement Report submitted by the City Coordinator on November 9, 2006. As a result, the offices of the NRP and the City Coordinator are working together to conduct a series of public meetings and a community survey. Neighborhood Representatives Elected to the 2007 NRP Policy Board
December 13, 2006 - Four representatives and four alternates were elected at the annual NRP Policy Board Neighborhood Representatives Election - held last night at the Crown Roller Mill Building. Community Engagement Report Released
November 16, 2006 - City of Minneapolis staff have released the "Community Engagement Report" that was directed by the Minneapolis City Council on May 12, 2006 to review and summarize previously documented feedback, reports and recommendations on the City's current community engagement activities. Grants Available to Neighborhood Groups for Outreach to New Immigrants
October 31, 2006 - The Center for Urban and Regional Affairs (CURA) has released the guidelines and application form for the Bridging Communities grant program. Additional NRP Policy Board Candidate Certified by League of Women Voters
October 18, 2006 - One Additional Candidate has been certified by the League of Women Voters to run in the NRP Policy Board Neighborhood Representatives Election on December 12th. The League has verified that the candidate's filing via fax machine was submitted before the October 13th noon deadline and that a technical problem had prevented the League from receiving it in time to be included with the other filings. NRP Program Income Amendment Proposed for City's NRP Ordinance
January 4, 2006 - An NRP Program Income amendment to the City's NRP Ordinance being proposed for adoption by the Minneapolis City Council. Last August the City Council adopted a resolution which committed program income resulting from NRP funded activities to NRP eligible uses in the neighborhood that provided the original funding. At that time, the Council also directed City staff to draft an amendment that would make the policy on program income part of the City's NRP Ordinance. More...
