NRP Policy Board Awards Nearly $2.4 million to 10 Affordable Housing Projects
December 29, 2003 - The NRP Policy Board continued to fulfill its commitment to helping address the city's affordable housing needs on December 15 by awarding nearly $2.4 million to 10 projects that will create or renovate 344 units of affordable housing and 102 market rate units. The 10 projects will leverage more than $76 million in additional private and public financing.

Nominations Now Being Accepted for 2004 Minneapolis & Saint Paul Home Tour
December 12, 2003 - Nominations are now being accepted from homeowners ready to showcase their homes on the Minneapolis & Saint Paul Home Tour on May 1-2, 2004. Last year, more than 5,100 visitors made more than 27,000 visits to the 39 Minneapolis homes on the tour. In addition, five neighborhood tours gave visitors a more in-depth look at the communities supporting these homes.

NRP Releases Citizen Participation Focus Groups Report
December 3, 2004 - On October 13, NRP staff convened six focus groups from 93 city residents to obtain feedback about their thoughts and experiences with the citizen engagement processes of the City of Minneapolis. The focus groups were initiated by the NRP to help inform the Minneapolis Community Engagement Project (MCEP) launched by Council Members Dan Niziolek and Scott Benson.

Neighborhood Allocations for Phase II Approved by NRP Policy Board
May 17, 2004 - The NRP Policy Board has taken the final steps needed to provide neighborhoods with allocations for Phase II. At the Board's April 19 meeting it approved the distribution of $41,669,210 using the formulas adopted in March, with a minor adjustment that provides Phillips and Ventura Village with some additional resources to help support the American Indian Plan that will be a part of their Phase II Neighborhood Action Plans. American Indians produced and implemented a similar plan in Phase I.

NRP Policy Board Adopts Final Criteria for Community Oriented Policing Services Fund
March 1, 2004 - On February 23, the NRP Policy Board unanimously adopted final criteria to be used to assess applications submitted by neighborhood organizations for funds from the Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS) Reserve Fund. The $1 million set aside by the board in August for this fund is being deducted from the funds available to all neighborhoods in Phase II.
