The Mississippi Watershed Management Organization (MWMO) is excited to announce the release of its 2005 Stewardship Fund applications. The MWMO's Stewardship Fund was created to provide financial assistance to efforts that benefit water resources within the MWMO. The MWMO Stewarship Fund Grant Program supports projects and programs that, among other things, protect water quality, reduce pollution, and promote public awareness of watershed management. Any organization or agency, such as a neighborhood organization, public and private schools, not-for-profit organizations, local government unit, or joint powers group is eligible to receive the funds. The MWMO Board has allocated $250,000 for the fund in 2005.
