Coordinator, Linden Hills Neighborhood (LHiNC)

Primary Responsibilities
The LHiNC Neighborhood Coordinator's primary responsibilities are to support the committees and board, increase community involvement, and be the main contact for the organization.

Job Duties
Volunteer Management and Neighborhood Relations
*Recruit and retain community volunteers.
*Field and respond to neighborhood inquiries and requests for information.
Program and City/ Neighborhood Revitalization Program (NRP) Grant Coordination
* Provide coordination and/or implementation assistance to LHiNC board and committees.
* Provide administrative support for NRP grant coordination and implementation.
Board and Committee Coordination and Support
* Provide coordination and/or implementation assistance to LHiNC board and committees.
* Coordinate monthly board meetings and serve as an information resource.
Financial Management
* Manage the financial responsibilities of the organization in conjunction with the Board Treasurer (i.e. book keeping responsibilities, grants and contracts management).
Fundraising and Grant Writing
* Seek ongoing opportunities for additional funding based on needs and appropriately leverage NRP grant funds.
* Direct and participate in grant writing opportunities and other fundraising opportunities as needed.

Qualifications
Required:
* Strong organization and prioritization skills.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills.
* Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
* Ability to manage an unpredictable work flow.
* Ability to work independently with some evening availability.
* Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work effectively with groups and individuals.
* Must have own office and equipment.
Preferred:
* Proficiency in Quicken, desktop publishing software, and web design.
* Knowledge of Neighborhood Revitalization Program (NRP) grant process.
* Attendance at monthly board meetings (first Tues of each month 7-9pm).
* Three years or more of community work preferred.
