The University of St. Thomas Center for Nonprofit Management is once again offering an exciting learning opportunity for community volunteers and neighborhood organization staff. Created in partnership with the NRP and the
Metropolitan Alliance for Community Centers (MACC) and presented for the first time in spring 2001, the
Community Leadership Institute (CLI) is a certificate program designed specifically for neighborhood people engaged in NRP activities. Curriculum topics include: reading and understanding financial statements, fundraising, project management and implementation and conflict resolution.
People participating in the first level of the program will attend Thursday evening classes from September 18 through December 11. Level two of the program, which is open to people who have completed level one, begins September 16 and runs every Tuesday evening through December 9.
For more information, or to obtain an application for the CLI, please contact Margie Siegel of the Center for Nonprofit Management at 651-962-4291 or call NRP Training Specialist Robert Thompson at 612-673-5149. Applications will be accepted through September 2, but space is limited so fill out your application today! Generous financial support for neighborhood volunteers is available through the NRP and MACC.
